Our Mission and Profile
Founded in 2005, Jewel Theatre Company (JTC) operates under a contract with Actors’ Equity Association (the union for professional actors and stage managers in the U.S.) and is dedicated to creating extraordinary productions that explore and advance the art of theatre by entertaining, enlightening and engaging the community.
JTC was the only year-round professional theatre company in Santa Cruz County and prided itself on bringing you quality, professional actors performing in both familiar favorites and lesser known plays, by first-rate playwrights. Our seasons were eclectic, ranging from dramas and musicals to comedies and classics. All in a quest to bring you inspired live theatre to tell your friends about.

Although we no longer occupy the Colligan Theater nor have a regular full season of shows, Jewel Theatre Company remains a nonprofit and we hope to produce shows in the future.
