Live theatre thrives in Santa Cruz

2015-2016 Season at Jewel Theatre Company

Last season we celebrated 10 years.  This season, our forward momentum is bringing us to yet another milestone for Jewel Theatre: our move to the new Colligan Theater at the Tannery Arts Center.  Remodeled from the old Hide House at the tannery, the 182-seat Colligan has the shininess of a new penny with the latest theatrical amenities, yet still reflects the intimacy of a classic open warehouse setting that harkens back to the good old days of "puttin' on a show."

Our transition to this vital new facility means we can enhance our productions while offering more access to the theatrical experience for more people.  It means we can engage more actors, designers, directors and crew to create more dynamic scenic, lighting, costume and sound elements.  But more than that, this transition, which is only possible because of your support and enthusiasm, means you believe in us and the amazing artistry of theatre.
