MARK GANDOLFI (Boss) is a Santa Cruz native who followed his father’s footsteps in the construction industry as well as developing his interest in art and local theatre since the 1970’s. His acting began at Harbor High School when he played Cyrano in Cyrano de Bergerac and later at Cabrillo College, he played Spotted Tail in Arthur Kopit’s Indians. A seasoned finish carpenter, stone mason and building designer, he worked under set designer Jeff La Reve for a production of A Couple of White Chicks Sittin’ Around Talking at the Actors’ Theatre (directed by Gerry Gerringer) and then redesigned the same set for an extended production at UCSC’s Barn Theatre. He designed and built the set for Agamemnon in Nigel Sanders-Self’s production for the Santa Cruz Digital Arts Festival showcased at UCSC in 2002. Mr. Gandolfi also designed and constructed the set for Jewel Theatre’s 2010 production of Doubt.
